I came late to Alchemy of Souls and I understand the noise now.
The production values are fantastic. The cast is impressive. The writing is tight and the world it builds holds together, which is harder in fantasy than anyone admits. It does the structural work that lets you stop questioning the rules and simply live inside them.
It went on my rewatch list before I had finished the first watch.
