Lurker love

Today it is all about you. YOU, you and yes you the silent reader from Marvell Semiconductors. 🙂

On an average day about 100 people visit the blog reading on average about two pages, staying on the blog for about 3.27 minutes. Yet, I see only a fraction of the visitors stop by to say Hello.

So, today I decided I would ask, request and cajole you into leaving a mark on here. I bare so much of myself here and if you have lingered on here long enough, you probably feel like you know me well. On the other hand, I do know a sizeable chunk of you who read either because you are family or you are my friend in real life, but a good many of you I only know by your IPs or email ids. I would love to know you a little better.

Those of you who have emailed on occasion and comment without obligation I am very thankful. I love hearing from you even though I have not been able to reply of late.

So come on, share the love.

    I hope you, k and the kids are doing well.

    This post of yours is intended for people like me, who make it a point to visit your blog every single day, but hardly leave a comment. Not because I (I don’t say “we” because I have a right to only speak for myself) don’t intend to leave a comment, but just because I choose to be a silent reader. But of late I realized that it’s important to express my views/ thoughts in the form of comments, I realized that it’s important to communicate. And this post of yours reaffirms my realization.

    To begin with, all I would like to say is that your blog has almost everything in it – posts on love, sadness, life, humour etc. Most of your posts are very thought provoking. I am a lawyer by profession, and whenever I need an outlet to escape from drafting boring replies to mind numbing queries, I hit your blog. Simply refreshing it is.

    I’m reserving the rest of my thoughts for another comment. Last but not the least, you have a mesmerizing smile!

    Hi ! I have been sliently reading your blog for the last two years. Found you via Rads. You have a wonderful way with words…

    I work in the same field as you and not far from you….. I work at Hopkins.
    and also doing a part time course at Hopkins. I have two kids. Do you see how many similarites we have….

    I envy people who can write with such ease.. I mean expressing one’s feeling in such a beautiful way is surely a gift. And I really appreciate you taking the time to maintain this blog for people like me who hardly took time to say hello.

    I have left few comments in the previous posts but I felt like the post about silent readers also included me 🙂 I live in the US with my husband. I am working from home for the past 2 years and since I did not have any company during the day, I started reading blogs. I started reading your blog very recently, say 2 months or so. I check your blog almost everyday and there is a rush of happiness when I see a new post in your blog 🙂 I will surely try leaving more comments and hope we become friends.

    Guess it’s me 🙂 I work for Marvell Semi and have been “silently reading” or I should put it as “silently attracted” to this blog. There’s life in your narration as if I’m sitting next to you and watching you. I’m literally glued to this blog during my breaks at work.

    BTW, I’m from bayarea, California. Have a 6 1/2 yr old naughty daughter, kuppai kottifying at Marvell for a good 6 yrs. Here’s me, another ardent fan of your blog. I’m not so good at writing but good at talking LOL. My love to Kay and Cee. Would love to hear more about them. Your blog inspired me to think towards adoption (a second one). Well time will tell us what we have in store.

    I faithfully visit your site every single day(not to mention the multiple visits during June) for more than a year now.Have left comemnts once in a while. You and I share the same name and I come from a place near coimbatore. My writing skills are on a negative scale, but still, try to pen down to once in a while. I love your blog posts and the ease with which you write and your posts connect with people instantly. Love to Cee and Kay.I’m happy that you are back to writing and making your blog open to public..When I saw that you’ve gone private, I wrote you an email introducing myself and asking to grant permission to visit your blog, and that mail still resides in my drafts folder. Happy August. (Last august was when you had announced thw blog world that you and K were paper pregnant, nah?) I’m very happy that you are blessed with a two little bundles of joy!!

I usually am much better with replying to emails. Yup. Aug 13th was when I posted the paper pregnant post.
