In June this year, I workshopped a piece at the Yale Writers’ Workshop. While this piece is a rehash of a story I have recounted many times on the blog, this was an experiment trying to write in the second person.
The piece went live on Mutha Magazine today.
I am happy to hear from those of you who hopped over to read. What do you think?
Laksh, very well written. I think the second person reference makes the experience more real as the reader becomes the character in the essay. So in parts where the experience resonates, it is very powerful and makes the reader emote. But I wonder if it is better suited for shorter essays rather than longer ones.
