Early this year, I applied to the Yale Summer Session for Writers called the Yale Writer’s Workshop on a whim. I figured I’d decide how to manage to go there *if* I got in. Late March, I received word that I was accepted. I agonized over it for a week before caving and registering for the ten-day residential workshop despite the steep cost.
So, I will be in New Haven this June. I am hoping that this will help hone my craft and provide me with the much-needed impetus to get writing. The eventual goal is a memoir but for starters, I will be aspiring to craft better long-form essays and get published in magazines.
Wish me luck people!
Wish you all success!!

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to see what your experience was with the workshop. I’m trying to figure out how much I’d get out of it and whether I should register… Thank you!
I blogged the whole experience. Please look at the whole series.
