Lurker love

Today it is all about you. YOU, you and yes you the silent reader from Marvell Semiconductors. πŸ™‚

On an average day about 100 people visit the blog reading on average about two pages, staying on the blog for about 3.27 minutes. Yet, I see only a fraction of the visitors stop by to say Hello.

So, today I decided I would ask, request and cajole you into leaving a mark on here. I bare so much of myself here and if you have lingered on here long enough, you probably feel like you know me well. On the other hand, I do know a sizeable chunk of you who read either because you are family or you are my friend in real life, but a good many of you I only know by your IPs or email ids. I would love to know you a little better.

Those of you who have emailed on occasion and comment without obligation I am very thankful. I love hearing from you even though I have not been able to reply of late.

So come on, share the love.

    1. KRK, Of course I know you. How is Pa doing? Didn’t you have an addition to your home? Guess I better write to Pa. πŸ™‚

  2. I am one your faithful lurkers. I really enjoy your writing. You have a wonderful gift of putting your thoughts into words.

  3. I am not a silent reader, but the noise ( as you know). No wonder then I just felt like saying Hi in response to this post.

    good day dear

    1. Shy, I love that you take the time to comment and I absolutely appreciate that. I’d love to meet you sometime. Have a lovely day!

  4. Okay, been reading you for the past one month. Came here thru Narad.
As luck would have it, as soon as I put you on my reader you went offline. Welcome back. Its nice to read your posts.

    1. utbt, thank you so much for writing in. I have lurked on your blog on and off since I am an ardent fan of Boo and co. πŸ™‚ Nice to know you!

  5. Hi Laksh,

I hope you, k and the kids are doing well.

This post of yours is intended for people like me, who make it a point to visit your blog every single day, but hardly leave a comment. Not because I (I don’t say β€œwe” because I have a right to only speak for myself) don’t intend to leave a comment, but just because I choose to be a silent reader. But of late I realized that it’s important to express my views/ thoughts in the form of comments, I realized that it’s important to communicate. And this post of yours reaffirms my realization.

To begin with, all I would like to say is that your blog has almost everything in it – posts on love, sadness, life, humour etc. Most of your posts are very thought provoking. I am a lawyer by profession, and whenever I need an outlet to escape from drafting boring replies to mind numbing queries, I hit your blog. Simply refreshing it is.

I’m reserving the rest of my thoughts for another comment. Last but not the least, you have a mesmerizing smile!

    1. SP, Thank you for this comment and your earlier email. I keep meaning to reply. Actually, let me just go ahead and respond to your email. πŸ™‚

  6. Hi ! I have been sliently reading your blog for the last two years. Found you via Rads. You have a wonderful way with words…

I envy people who can write with such ease.. I mean expressing one’s feeling in such a beautiful way is surely a gift. And I really appreciate you taking the time to maintain this blog for people like me who hardly took time to say hello.

    With best regards…

Just letting you know that I am still here but with my sleepless nights, I may not be able to comment frequently.

    1. Bav, so nice to hear from you. Even though I have not emailed I think of you often and wondering about you. We should catch up. BTW, Kay and Cee start daycare in two weeks and they will be wearing the clothes you sent for them on their first day at school. Will send pics when the do. πŸ™‚

  10. I came here from don’t know where and have been regular ever since. Love your writing style. Was sad when you bid goodbye but was so happy to see you back. My brother adopted his second kid and somehow I kind of relate to your posts on adoption. Keep writing.

  11. I have left few comments in the previous posts but I felt like the post about silent readers also included me πŸ™‚ I live in the US with my husband. I am working from home for the past 2 years and since I did not have any company during the day, I started reading blogs. I started reading your blog very recently, say 2 months or so. I check your blog almost everyday and there is a rush of happiness when I see a new post in your blog πŸ™‚ I will surely try leaving more comments and hope we become friends.

    1. Aarthi, Nice to know you. I’d love to be friends. If you are on the east coast, time permitting perhaps we could talk over phone?

  12. Hi Laks… this post really made me leave the note.. !! You are right, though I visit your website many times, I often go back without leaving any comments.

    1. Hey Saras. How are you? Now that am off FB, I hardly get to see any updates. Guess I have to try and email. πŸ™‚

  13. Hey Laksh,

Guess it’s me πŸ™‚ I work for Marvell Semi and have been “silently reading” or I should put it as “silently attracted” to this blog. There’s life in your narration as if I’m sitting next to you and watching you. I’m literally glued to this blog during my breaks at work.

BTW, I’m from bayarea, California. Have a 6 1/2 yr old naughty daughter, kuppai kottifying at Marvell for a good 6 yrs. Here’s me, another ardent fan of your blog. I’m not so good at writing but good at talking LOL. My love to Kay and Cee. Would love to hear more about them. Your blog inspired me to think towards adoption (a second one). Well time will tell us what we have in store.

    Take care,

    1. Uma, Thank you for delurking. You were the reason I put this post up and I am so glad I did! Let me know if you need to talk to someone about adoption. Glad to be of help. Will have to sync up whenever I visit the Bay area next.

  26. Hey Laksh,
I faithfully visit your site every single day(not to mention the multiple visits during June) for more than a year now.Have left comemnts once in a while. You and I share the same name and I come from a place near coimbatore. My writing skills are on a negative scale, but still, try to pen down to once in a while. I love your blog posts and the ease with which you write and your posts connect with people instantly. Love to Cee and Kay.I’m happy that you are back to writing and making your blog open to public..When I saw that you’ve gone private, I wrote you an email introducing myself and asking to grant permission to visit your blog, and that mail still resides in my drafts folder. Happy August. (Last august was when you had announced thw blog world that you and K were paper pregnant, nah?) I’m very happy that you are blessed with a two little bundles of joy!!

    1. Dear Ramya/Lakshmi, your comment gives me no indication of a lack of writing skills. πŸ™‚ Very nice to know you. You should have sent that email you had in your drafts. I usually am much better with replying to emails. Yup. Aug 13th was when I posted the paper pregnant post. Who knew then that one year later I would have two toddlers wreaking havoc in my home? πŸ™‚ Life is good!

  27. Hi Lakshmi
