Landing in the spanking new airport in Bengaluru, K and I hauled our mammoth suitcases to the welcoming arms of K’s bro. Chattering non stop all the way home, I watched the city I loved come to life in the one hour ride home.
The two days have been fun. I haven’t stepped out of home. We’ve been treated to good food and plenty of “Incredible India” moments. Gaining the trust of my new niece was the hallmark of my trip so far.
Cutting normal sized veggies, the television blaring in one corner of the house giving strangely comforting company for those odd moments of silence. Heartwarming, larger than life ads making me smile and shake my head at the same time. The catching up on tales of the two years past. Match making eligible relatives and reveling in it.
Every moment makes me pause and soak it all in. It will be a day or two more before I venture out of the home and catch up with old friends over the phone or in person.
Hope you had a good weekend and here’s to a lovely week ahead.
Have a superb time, Laksh!
Enjoy Laksh!
