Yup. One year of MBA done. Classes done. Exams taken. All that is left for me to do is relax and enjoy the next couple of weeks. 🙂
Of course, I can’t but help reminiscence on the MBA experience. It feels like only a few months back I was exploring the option, making a cautious announcement here and then sharing details here and here and now already a year is past. Hmm! What has the year taught me? An increased awareness in the way I interpret news. An appreciation for the free market at work, a trepidation when I see Govt policies encroach on private enterprise. An awareness of my strengths and weak points and of course a new set of friends. Another year and I will be done. I hope I can walk away with my degree knowing my time was well spent and I will change my life and others’ by virtue of the knowledge I have gained.
In other news, K turns a whole year older. I am probably more excited about his birthday than he is. No mushy post today as I think I have OD’d on them. :p
I quit FB. Yes. You heard that right. I quit FB and Twitter and Orkut. I heard from three friends to be exact when they missed me. As I explained to them my reasons, I realized how much of time these social networking sites consumed. All I did was passively keep up on friends’ updates. I haven’t called or emailed or kept in touch with my 100 odd friends in years now. Perhaps this is my wake up call to be proactive on the relationships I want to maintain with people? I don’t know. This is another of those experiments that will either validate or have me scurrying back to undo what I did. Time will tell.
What else? I will be on vacation for the next two weeks and hope to meet at least a few of you then. I will also *finally* get to respond to comments over the next couple of days. Stay tuned! 🙂
