Yes it is. Let me start at the beginning. I have had a few tough weeks at work earlier this year. Absolutely my doing of course. At a time when I was seriously thinking working in the US was a drag, no friends to lighten your mood up, no one to haul you over to the canteen for a piping hot samosa. All was dark in my side of the world. That’s when a person who had joined my team less than a year ago stopped by to check on me. I poured my heart out to him and in a way uncharacteristic of any others I knew offered to buy me a milkshake after I was done with my project. That little act of kindness lifted me from my gloom and redeemed my belief in the innate goodness of people. OK I exaggerate. But you get the point right?

My project was long done and I started on another. We kept putting off our little milkshake tryst citing weather and work alternatively. Till today. The sun was out, the breeze mild, birds a singing. A perfect day for a mid day break from work. So, off we went. Back in less than an hour, it was just perfect.

A small cup of vanilla milkshake and a new friend at work. Life is Mmmm good!
